Open Source Geek, Founder at Percona

Peter Zaitsev is an open source entrepreneur, technologist, and longtime advocate for open communities and open software. He is the co-founder of Percona and has spent more than two decades building open source companies, products, communities, and events around the belief that important technology should remain accessible, transparent, and user-driven. Beyond Percona, Peter is involved in a range of open source and technology initiatives, from supporting emerging projects and founders to organizing technical communities and events. He is particularly interested in how open source evolves as the technology industry changes—across cloud, infrastructure, developer tools, data, and increasingly AI. A self-described open source geek, Peter enjoys exploring new technologies, challenging conventional industry models, and connecting people who are building the next generation of open technology.
