Face morphing is usually treated as a visual gimmick, but its underlying mechanics reveal something more important: it is one of the few technologies that merges geometry, perception, and real-time computation to model how humans interpret identity. This talk breaks down the core innovations powering modern morphing systems, landmark alignment, mesh interpolation, temporal blending, and model-driven feature extraction, and explains how these techniques allow transformations that feel natural to the human eye.

Building on this foundation, the session explores an emerging frontier: using morphing to create adaptive interfaces, emotion-aware systems, and dynamic digital characters that respond to users in real time. These applications reshape entertainment, learning, accessibility, and AR experiences. The talk concludes with a practical ethical framework addressing consent, transparency, and identity integrity, key considerations for any technology that manipulates human faces.
Sobre Stelvin Saji: I’m a creative tech innovator and full-stack developer with over three years of experience crafting pixel-perfect, responsive web experiences, guided by a simple philosophy: desktop and mobile first, always. My work focuses on interaction, animation, and visual storytelling, using the web as a medium to turn ideas into engaging, immersive experiences.

A storyteller at heart, I blend creativity with engineering, drawing inspiration from photography, cinema, and literature to design interfaces and systems that feel alive and purposeful. Over time, my work has evolved at the intersection of design, research, and problem-solving, shaped by leadership roles in academic and creative projects that explored real-world narratives through digital mediums.

Along this journey, I’ve authored Expressive Emojis: Adding Playful Expressions with HTML, CSS & JS and The Complete Prompt Master Manual, and I curate Smart Coding, a newsletter dedicated to HTML Canvas, full-stack web development, and interactive design. To make learning more accessible, the newsletter also features an audio edition on Spotify, allowing developers to explore ideas on the go. Building on this creative foundation, my upcoming book, Friends: The Morphing Chronicles – A Tale of Faces, Laughter & Unlikely Swaps, dives into face morphing and swapping through modern web technologies, transforming complex technical concepts into playful, visual experiences.

As a speaker, I bring technology, creativity, and storytelling together through engaging, demo-driven talks that make complex ideas approachable, interactive, and memorable. Show less
